Red Wolves Finish Second in IU East Fall Invite

RICHMOND, Ind. – Sam Firebaugh carded a 69 in Round 1 and 70 in Round 2 in the IU East Fall Invitational. But the 5-under was good for second as Kyle Honer of Oakland City shot 62 and 64 to win the event by 13 strokes.

The Red Wolves finished second in the team score as well, 12 strokes behind Oakland City.

Jake Miller finished 6^th overall with a 70 and 73 in the two rounds. Dillon Letendre led IU East Team B with a 74, 70. Freshman Will Barnes finished 2-over (72, 74), good for 13^th. Austin Shelley (75, 72; 16^th), Alex Beatty (72, 76; 22^nd), Emiliano Tercero (76, 75; 31^st), Riley Bratton (76, 75; 31^st), Mason Hahn (81, 73; 35^th), Zach Rutan (75, 80; 43^rd), Ryan Craig (83, 79; 56^th), Mark Byerly (85, 80; 58^th) and Zach Jewell (89, 77; 59^th) rounded out all the Red Wolf golfers.

The Red Wolves will be back on the course next week playing in the Players Club Invitational hosted by Taylor University.
