Men's Golf: IU East Leads LTU Shootout

YORKTOWN, Ind. - The Indiana University East men's golf team finished the opening day of the Lawrence Tech University Shootout at the top of the leaderboard by 10 strokes on Monday, April 13.

The Red Wolves led after the first round with a 292 and ended the second with 296 for a total of 588. The University of Rio Grande is in second place in the 12-team affair at the Players Club with a 302-296-598.

Individually, IU East's Sam Firebaugh leads the field at 72-70-142. Axel Houdaille of Cleary University is in second place overall at even par with 73-71-144.

In addition to Firebaugh, IU East also has Noah Mulford (71-76-147, T4th), Dare Bowles (71-78-149, T7th) and Landon True (78-72-150, T9th) in the top 10.

The other scores for the Red Wolves are Ryan Craig (83-80-163, T48th) and Kylan Nash (88-79-167, 59th).

Tuesday's final round in the 54-hole event gets underway at 9 a.m.
