Red Wolves Capture First Win of the Season against Capital University

RICHMOND, Ind. – The IU East men's tennis team was able to grab their first win of the season on Saturday.

The Red Wolves made it a clean sweep against Capital University, 7-0.

Sebastian Torrealba and Kyle Hollingsworth blanked their No. 1 Doubles opponent 6-0. Leonardo Calderon and Bryson Hale dropped their No. 2 Doubles match 6-5 before Jace Wilkerson and Bryce Wennen captured the doubles point with a 7-5 win at No. 3 Doubles.

In singles, the Red Wolves were able to capture every set with only one heading into a tie-breaker. Wilkerson defeated his No. 3 Singles opponent 7-6(7-4), and 6-3.

The Red Wolves will travel to Prairie State College on Friday.
