Tennis: IU East at RSC Championships Day 1 Recap

EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The Indiana University East tennis teams competed at the River States Conference Championships on Thursday, April 23.

The Red Wolves defeated IU Southeast 4-3 at the Wesselman Tennis Center to advance to Friday's semifinals against top seed Oakland City University (14-10) at 12:30 p.m. (IU East time).

Andrea Klaric and Sachin Vanaraja picked up a win at No. 1 doubles for the Red Wolves (8-14).

In men's singles action, Vanaraja (No. 1), Alex Piercy (No. 2), Klaric (No. 3) and Juan Diego Balao (No. 4) were all victorious.

On the women's side, the season came to an end for IU East with a 4-0 loss to Brescia University. The Red Wolves finished at 6-15.
