Tennis: Red Wolves Begin Conference Schedule

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East tennis teams are set to begin River States Conference play at Shawnee State University on Friday, March 20.

The contests on the Daehler Tennis Courts get underway at 2 p.m.

"We're looking forward to getting our conference season started," IU East coach Zach Edwards said. "The team has put in a lot of effort and I'm hopeful that our results over the next few weeks will show that."

"Most importantly, I think the leaders on the team understand that we have an opportunity to really compete in some matches that we haven’t been able to compete in over the past few years," Edwards continued. "I'm excited to see how the team responds to those opportunities. There's a feeling that the season is finally here and you can't ask for a better feeling than that."

IU East's women are 4-8 overall, while the men are 4-9.

Hosted by Oakland City University, the RSC Championships are in Evansville on April 24-25.
