Track and Field Weekend Recap

RICHMOND, Ind. – The men's and women's track and field teams competed in some more last chance meets over the weekend.

Chance Klipstine and Erick Gallardo Cortes ran in the 800m at the Billy Hayes Invitational hosted by IU. Klipstine finished 18^th with a time of 1:59.59. Gallardo Cortes finished in 20^th at 2:00.02.

At the West Virginia Last Chance Invitational, head coach Chris Buckler took some of this throws team. Caitlin Gilland finished 14^th in the hammer throw and 14^th in the shot put. Izzy King was 7^th in the javelin. Kyler Schultz finished 12^th in the shot put and 5^th in the hammer throw. Sam Houck was 14^th in the shot put, 7^th in the hammer, and 14^th in the discuss.

The Red Wolves will have one more shot at qualifying for nationals. They will travel compete in the Mount Olive Multi Last Chance hosted by UMD Thursday and Friday.
