Men's Volleyball: IU East at Rio Grande Preview

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East men's volleyball team visits the University of Rio Grande on Saturday, March 28.

The River States Conference contest in Newt Oliver Arena starts at 3 p.m.

IU East is 6-8 overall and 4-6 in the conference after an 18-25, 25-18, 32-30, 25-18 victory over Brescia University last weekend.

Winners of two in a row, Rio Grande is 12-9 and 4-6 in the league. The RedStorm beat Midway University 25-12, 25-7, 24-26, 25-13 at home earlier this week after winning at Oakland City University 25-22, 25-23, 16-25, 17-25, 15-12 on Saturday, March 21.

* This is the second time the two teams have met this season with the Red Wolves winning 25-21, 17-25, 25-16, 25-22 on Lingle Court on Feb. 28.

* Arthur Barreto led the IU East with 13 kills in the earlier win over Rio Grande as Wyatt King finished with 12. Brayden Richardson had 31 assists.

* Against the Red Wolves, Daniel Rivas led Rio Grande with 20 kills as Camilo Murillo had 32 assists.
