Red Wolves Finish Second after Day 1 of the Red Wolf Fall Invitational

MUNCIE, Ind. – Jalyn Bruns, Brooklynn Cromwell, and Liv Sanders finished Day 1 in the top 10 in the Red Wolves Fall Invitational Friday.

The Red Wolves finished second of six teams after Round 1 with a score of 332. IU East Team B shot 375.

"Very comfortable day with some wind," head coach Billy Mullin said about the conditions. "Jalyn Bruns played outstanding today. She does a great job keeping the ball in play and her putting was solid on these challenging greens.

"Brooklynn and Liv did a nice job holding us in there also and I thought Jozzy did a nice job today."

Bruns finished in seventh after she carded a 79 at the par 72 Delaware Country Club.

"I hit the ball pretty solid today," Bruns said. "my driver was good when it needed to be on the more difficult holes. I made some good putts to save par on the holes with tough pin placements, but I also had a couple of three putts in there as well. I think as a team we will all improve tomorrow."

Cromwell finished ninth with an 82. Sanders was a shot behind at an 83. Lewis finished with an 85 and led Team B. Sophia Curry (88), Katie Craig (90), Lainey Jackson (90), Baylee Wissler (99), Gracie Williams (101), and Ashlynne Osborne (111) finished out the golfers today for IU East.

"332 is a respectable score on this golf course," Mullin said. "We got a lot of work to do still, but I am encouraged with how we competed today."

The Red Wolves will end their fall season on Saturday as they complete Round 2 of the Red Wolves Fall Invitational.
