Women's Golf: IU East at IUK Spring Shootout Preview

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East women's golf team returns to action as the Red Wolves take part in the IU Kokomo Spring Shootout on April 18-19.

The tournament on the Wildcat Creek Golf Course starts on Saturday at 11 a.m. On Sunday, play is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m.

IU East's lineup for the two-day event is Peityn Gillman, Maddie Campbell, Jalyn Bruns, Sophia Curry and Reagan Brewer with Lainey Jackson, Ashlynne Osborne and Lauren Lacey playing as individuals.

Along with the Red Wolves and the host Cougars the other teams in the field are Heidelberg University, IU Southeast, Oakland City University and the University of Rio Grande.

YOU OUGHT TO KNOW

* IU East was fourth in the Heritage Hill Collegiate hosted by Lawrence Tech University on Saturday, March 28. The Red Wolves had a team score of 334-323-321-978.

* Gillman led IU East with a 79-80-75-234 as she tied for seventh on the individual leaderboard.

* The Red Wolves will host the Forest Hills Collegiate in Richmond on April 24-25.

* The River States Conference Championships are scheduled for The Resort at Glade Springs in West Virginia on May 3-5.
