Women's Golf: Trine Kick Off Classic Preview

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East women's golf team heads to the Trine University Women's Kick Off Classic as the Red Wolves begin the fall season on Tuesday, Aug. 26.

The single-day event on the Zollner Golf Course gets underway with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

IU East's lineup will be Maddie Campbell, Peityn Gillman, Sophia Curry, Reagan Brewer and Jalyn Bruns with Lainey Jackson, Ashlynne Osborne and Lauren Lacey playing as individuals.

Along with the Red Wolves and the host Thunder the other squads competing are Albion College, Capital University, Earlham College, Kalamazoo College, Rochester University, Siena Heights University and the University of Olivet.

YOU OUGHT TO KNOW

* IU East finished second behind Trine in this event in 2024 with a team score of 329 as the Thunder posted a 320.

* Jackson (4th, 82) and Bruns (7th, 83) finished in the top 10 last fall.

* Curry was 11th with an 84, while Osborne was 29th at 90.

* The Red Wolves host the IU East Fall Invitational at Highland Lake Golf Course on Aug. 29-30.
