Women's Soccer: Holy Cross 3, IU East 2

EATON, Ohio - A goal in the final moments of the match was the difference as the Indiana University East women's soccer team fell 3-2 to Holy Cross College on Saturday, Aug. 26.

Abigail Fouts scored the game-winner for the Saints at the 89:18 mark of the non-conference affair at Eaton (Ohio) High School.

IU East's Amyah Thacker put the first goal of the contest in the net with an assist from Denise Davalos at 24:33 to put the Red Wolves in front 1-0.

Holy Cross (1-1) answered later in the opening period to tie it by the intermission.

In the second half, Holy Cross scored at 82:58 giving the Saints a 2-1 advantage. However, the Red Wolves were able to quickly respond at 83:49 as Maggie Bischoff scored for the second time this season with help from Thacker to make it 2-2.

The Red Wolves (0-2) are back in action against Indiana Wesleyan University in Eaton on Tuesday, Aug. 29.
