MIDWAY, Ky. - The Indiana University East women's soccer team finished the regular season with a scoreless draw at Midway University on Saturday, Oct. 28.
IU East is 5-6-6 overall and 5-1-4 in the River States Conference as the Red Wolves earned the No. 4 seed in the upcoming postseason tournament. Midway is now 7-5-1, 4-5-1.
With the tie, the Red Wolves have 19 points in the RSC standings. Shawnee State University (7-9-1, 6-3-1) also has 19 points after a 2-1 victory over Brescia University on Saturday.
IU East's 3-1 win over Shawnee State earlier this month is the tiebreaker, which gives the Red Wolves the opportunity to host the No. 5 seeded Bears in the RSC Quarterfinals at Eaton (Ohio) High School on Saturday, Nov. 4. The contest is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Against Midway, IU East goalkeeper Kylie O'Leary recorded six saves as the Red Wolves held a 19-12 advantage in shots.
