Women's Soccer: IU East at SMWC Preview

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East women's soccer team travels to St. Mary-of-the-Woods College for a River States Conference contest on Saturday, Oct. 18.

The first match of a doubleheader for the Red Wolves at the SMWC Soccer Field gets underway at 11:30 a.m.

IU East is 7-4-2 overall, while holding a conference record of 4-1. The Red Wolves are coming off a Senior Day 1-0 victory over Brescia University last weekend.

St. Mary-of-the-Woods is 1-10-1 and 1-4 in the RSC. In their last contest, the Pomeroys fell 2-0 at home to IU Kokomo on Oct. 9.

* IU East 3-0-1 against the Pomeroys in the all-time series with a 1-0 victory last fall as Vanessa Temple scored late in the affair in Centerville with an assist from Zaryah Griffin.

* SMWC's victory this season was a 3-0 win over Kentucky Christian University as Cyd'Nei Strader, Eerika Erjansalo and Mackenzie Herring scored for the Pomeroys.
