Women's Tennis Defeats Ohio Northern 5-4

ADA, Ohio – The IU East women's tennis team kept their season rolling with a 5-4 victory of Ohio Northern Friday.

The win improves the Red Wolves to 2-0 on the season.

After trailing 2-1 at the end of doubles, the Red Wolves took four of the six singles matches.

Linda Marino won her No. 1 Singles match 6-3, 7-5. Eva Caballero followed with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 2 Singles. Amonette Theron also won her match, 6-2, 6-3 in No. 3 Singles. Gracie Helms was the deciding set as she won 6-2, 7-6 in the No. 5 Singles spot.

Marino and Caballero won at No. 1 Doubles 8-6.

IU East will travel to Wittenberg University on Tuesday in hopes to stay undefeated early in the season.
