Women's Tennis: IU East 5, IU Kokomo 2

PENDLETON, Ind. - The Indiana University East women's tennis team picked up a 5-2 victory over IU Kokomo on Saturday, April 18.

With the River States Conference win at Pendleton Community Sports and Wellness, IU East is 6-13 and 2-3. IU Kokomo is 3-13, 1-5.

The Red Wolves won the No. 1 doubles contest with Brooke Schafstall and Gracie Helms, but the Cougars picked up the point.

In singles, IU East won its five contested matches as Helms (No. 1), Lauren Miller (No. 2), Schafstall (No. 3), Lexi Wennen (No. 4) and Chantelle Mapondera (No. 5) gave the Red Wolves the conference victory.

IU East ends the regular season at Brescia University on Sunday, April 19. The match is at 2 p.m. (IU East time).
