Indoor Track: IU East Weekend Preview

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East indoor track and field teams are participating in a pair of events in two different states on Friday, Jan. 30.

IU East's distance crew will be at the Olivet Nazarene University Invitational in Illinois, while the rest of the squad competes in the Joe Banks Invitational at Ohio Northern University.

The start time at Olivet Nazarene in the Perry Student Life Recreation Center is 4 p.m. (IU East time). Ohio Northern's event gets underway at 5 p.m.

The ONU Sports Center is located on campus at 529 West Lincoln Ave., Ada, Ohio.

Live results are scheduled to be available at Olivet Nazarene and Ohio Northern.

YOU OUGHT TO KNOW

* This is the second time IU East will be at Ohio Northern this month as the Red Wolves participated in the Rob & Patty Lydic Invitational on Friday, Jan. 16.

* There are two more weekends of competition for the Red Wolves before the River States Conference Indoor Championships at Marietta College on Feb 20-21.

* IU East won four events at the George Glass Invitational at Taylor University on Saturday, Jan. 24.

* The individual winners were Kayci Hill (women's 1,000 meters, 3:04.00), Mackenzie Rohde (women's 400 Meters, 1:02.51) and Thomas Hogan (men's 3,000 Meters, 8:53.55).

* The women's 3,200-meter relay team of Emily Fleming, Hill, Mylee Shatto and Hunter Gardner won in 10:31.18.
