Outdoor Track: IU East at Bill Kincaid Track & Field Invitational Recap

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Indiana University East track and field teams had five winners and five school records broken at the Bill Kincaid Track & Field Invitational hosted by Wilmington College on Saturday, April 25.

Emily Fleming, Kayci Hill and Hunter Allen each set a new school standard, while winning their event.

Fleming won the women's 800 with a time of 2:16.70. In the women's 1,500 meters, Hill posted a time of 4:48.53 as Hunter Allen ran 4:00.66 in the men's race.

Also winning for the Red Wolves were Justin Zorn in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase in 10:42.45 and Naleya Kinney in the women's long jump with a distance of 4.96 meters.

Esther George finished second in the women's 100 hurdles establishing a new mark at 15.74 seconds. While Emilee Earl finished eighth in the women's hammer throw, she set an IU East record with a toss of 42.89 meters.

In the team standings both the IU East men and women finished second overall to the host Quakers. For the men, Wilmington had 169 points followed by IU East (100), Wittenberg (95.5), DePauw (86), Marietta (80.5) and Muskingum (58). The point totals for the women were Wilmington (185), IU East (134.5), DePauw (112), Muskingum (74.5), Wittenberg (65.5) and Marietta (38.5).

Next up for the Red Wolves is the River States Conference Outdoor Championships at the University of Rio Grande on May 1-2.
