Outdoor Track: IU East Recap for May 8

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East track and field squads have several competitors in two states this weekend.

The Red Wolves women's 3,200-meter relay team won its event at the University of St. Francis Fighting Chance Invite in Illinois on Friday, May 8.

Kayci Hill, Emily Fleming, Hunter Gardner and Mylee Shatto posted a time of 9:28.02, which surpassed their school record of 9:34.44 just established at last week's River States Conference Championships.

Also on Friday in the Harrison Dillard Twilight at Baldwin-Wallace University in Ohio, Vanessa Temple finished second in the women's 400 meter hurdles with a NAIA National "B" Standard time of 1:03.33. Temple was a little faster on the final day of the RSC Championships with a national qualifying mark and a meet record of 1:02.92.
