MIDWAY, K.Y. – The IU East women's volleyball team made quick work of Midway as the Red Wolves won in straight sets Friday night, 25-13, 25-20, 25-13.
The win gives the Red Wolves a 12-6 overall record and a 5-1 record in RSC play.
Brooke Lepper led the team with 11 kills and Jessica Swimm added nine. Reece Shirley added 31 assists and 11 digs. The Eagles were held to a -.45 attacking percentage.
The Red Wolves never trailed in any of the three sets.
IU East used a big 12-3 run to end the first set to take the 1-0 lead. The Red Wolves had their best run in the third set when they went 8-0 to start. The Red Wolves ended the 3-set affair with an ace from Carli Cox.
The Red Wolves stay in Kentucky and will play against Alice Lloyd on Saturday. First serve is scheduled for noon.
