Men's Volleyball: IU East Weekend Preview

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East men's volleyball team hits the road this weekend for a pair of River States Conference matches.

The Red Wolves visit Oakland City University on Friday, March 20. The affair in the Johnson Center starts at 7 p.m. (IU East time). On Saturday, IU East will be at Brescia University's Moore Center for a contest at 2 p.m. (IU East time). 

IU East is now 5-7 overall and 3-5 in the league after a 25-11, 30-28, 19-25, 25-17 loss at home to St. Mary-of-the-Woods College on Tuesday, March 17.

Oakland City is 13-5 and 4-2 with the Mighty Oaks coming off a 25-13, 25-15, 25-13 win at Midway University earlier this week.

Brescia enters Friday's match at home versus Midway at 7-10 overall and 2-5 in the RSC. In their most recent match this week, the Bearcats dropped a 25-19, 25-22, 25-22 decision at the University of Rio Grande.

* IU East finishes the regular season on Lingle Court against Oakland City (April 10) and Brescia (April 11).

* Arthur Barreto led IU East with 16 kills against St. Mary-of-the-Woods as Vinicius Lopes had 15.

* Braydon Richardson finished with 34 assists for the Red Wolves as Lopes had 13 digs and Francis Rivera Agosto had 11.

* Wyatt King and Judah Davis both had a pair of blocks in the contest.
