Women's Volleyball: IU Southeast 3, IU East 2
NEW ALBANY, Ind. - The Indiana University East volleyball team had its season come to an end with a 21-25, 25-21, 23-25, 28-26, 16-14 loss at IU Southeast in a quarterfinal match of the River States Conference Championships on Tuesday, Nov. 11.
The Red Wolves finish at 18-17 as their seven-match winning streak was snapped by the Grenadiers who are 19-7. IU Southeast advances to the semifinals to face IU Kokomo on the road on Friday.
During the contest, Ella Bickel became IU East's all-time leader in digs as she recorded 29 on Tuesday. Bickel ended her career with 2,384, which moved her past Kristin Waechter's total of 2,372 from 2009-12.
Alayna Barrett and Noema Philistin-Lynch led the Red Wolves with 14 kills apiece. Amyra Lockett added 13 kills.
Aislyn Hogan paced the IU East offense with 46 assists. Abby Herman contributed 16 digs as Hogan had 13 digs and Lockett had 11.
